So, the other day, I was scrolling through all the adorable Valentine’s crafts and recipes—hello, Pinterest rabbit hole—and I realized, why not include my dog in all of the love fest? After all, he is my little buddy, always by my side, whether binge-watching rom-coms or cleaning up in the kitchen.
This year, I decided to make him a special Valentine’s Day treat that’s festive, healthy, and super simple to whip up.
If you’re a big fan of spoiling your pup rotten with homemade treats, this is the recipe. It’s quick, easy, and probably made with stuff you already have on hand. Oh, and heart-shaped—because, obviously!

Frozen Pink Valentine’s Dog Treats Recipe
Treat your dog to these amazing, creamy, refreshing frozen treats. Plain yogurt and fresh fruit give them a festive hue that my dog cannot get enough of. Plus, they are easy and only take minutes to make.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 cup plain, unsweetened yogurt (use unsweetened coconut yogurt if your pup is sensitive to dairy)
- 1/2 cup strawberries or raspberries, pureed (fresh or frozen and thawed)
- Optional for color: 1 teaspoon unsweetened cranberry juice (for an extra vibrant pink hue)
- Silicone heart molds (ice cube trays work too if you don’t have molds)
How to Make Them:
- Mix the yogurt and strawberry/raspberry puree together until smooth. Stir in the cranberry juice for a pop of extra color.
- Divide the mixture into silicone heart-shaped molds, filling each cavity to the top.
- Freeze for 2–3 hours, or until solid.
- Pop the frozen treats out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the freezer.
Why Dogs (and You) Will Love These Treats
- Healthy & Simple: These treats are wholesome and made with only three ingredients!
- Customizable: Replace the strawberries or raspberries with blueberries or bananas if your dog prefers those.
- Festive & Fun: The natural pink color is perfect for Valentine’s Day, and the heart shapes add a special touch of love.
Tips for Success
- For Smaller Dogs: Use mini-heart molds or only fill each cavity halfway to make smaller treats.
- Gifting Idea: Pop a few frozen hearts into a cute jar or bag, and share them with your dog-loving friends. Their pups will thank you!
- Serving Tip: These treats are best served sparingly and are especially refreshing on warm days.
