15 Easy Snowman Crafts for Kids: Cute and Fun Winter Activities

1. Paper Plate Snowman

Instructions:

If required, paint plates white and let them dry. Glue the small plate on top of the big one. Cut out a black paper top hat, and paste it on. Make an orange triangle nose and use markers to draw the eyes, the smile, and the buttons. Where the plates are joined, tie a ribbon for the scarf. Done!

  • White paper or cardstock

Instructions:

On your cardstock, draw three circles stacked like a snowman. Ask kids to separate cotton balls and glue them inside the outline of the biggest two circles. Instructions:

Contact papers will have to be cut into two identical snowman shapes. One is to be peeled off and taped sticky-side up. Kids will be tasked with covering it with white tissue paper pieces but leaving some gaps. Add orange for the nose and black for eyes and buttons. Seal with the second contact paper piece on top. Draw arms with marker and hang in a window. It is spectacular when the sun shines through!

11. Cup Snowman Craft

Instructions:

Invert the cups and pile them one above the other (big, medium, small). Glue to each other. Add eyes and an orange nose to the top cup. Glue buttons down the middle cup. 14. Snowman Mask (Paper Plate)

  • Large white paper plate
  • Scissors
  • Orange paper
  • Black marker
  • Colored paper for hat
  • Popsicle stick or elastic
  • Glue

Instructions:

Create two eye holes in the plate. Underneath the eyes, glue a triangle made of orange paper for the nose and draw a smile. At the top place a paper hat and draw stick arms at the sides. At the bottom, attach either a popsicle stick handle or punch holes on the sides for the elastic. Children will be very pleased to wear these for role-playing!

15. Q-Tip Painted Art

  • Q-tips

Instructions:

Pour white paint on a plate. Show your little one how to dip a Q-tip and dab dots on the paper to create three stacked circles. Fill them up with overlapping dots. Once dry, add an orange nose and black details with markers. Add Q-tip snowflakes around the snowman for more magic!
