Paper Plate Easter Crafts: 10 Easy Ideas Your Kids Will Love!

If you are looking for some easy Easter crafts for kids that won’t break the bank think on paper plate Easter crafts. They’re cheap, you probably already have them in the pantry, and the cleanup is SO much easier than some of those Pinterest-perfect crafts (we all know how those turn out, right?).

Here are my favorite 10 paper plate Easter crafts that’ll keep your little ones busy and give you some adorable decorations for the house. Let’s do this!

1. Paper Plate Easter Bunny Face

This one is a total crowd-pleaser! Your kids will ask you to make these every single year.

Materials:

  • Paper plate
  • Pink and white construction paper
  • Cotton balls
  • Googly eyes
  • Pink pom-pom (for the nose)
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Markers

Instructions:

  1. Draw two long ear shapes of a bunny with the white paper and cut them out.
  2. Make pink ovals that are smaller and stick them to the inside of the ear.
  3. Stick the ears on top of the paper plate at the back.
  4. Stick the two googly eyes on.
  5. In the middle, stick the pink pom-pom for a nose.
  6. Divide cotton balls into smaller pieces and stick them on the plate to give it the appearance of a furry little animal.
  7. With the help of markers, make a tiny mouth and draw the whiskers.

Instructions:

  1. If you are using white cotton balls then paint them yellow and let them dry (or do nothing if you’ve got yellow cotton balls!).
  2. Cover the paper plate with cotton balls to make a chick body that is fluffy.
  3. Make a tiny triangle with the orange paper for the beak and paste it in the middle.
  4. Paste two googly eyes over the beak.
  5. Cut two little feet from orange paper and stick them at the bottom.
  6. If you want, attach little wings made of yellow paper to the sides!

  • Paper plate
  • Paint or markers (pastel colors are adorable!)
  • Stapler
  • Construction paper or ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Easter grass or tissue paper
  • Stickers or decorations

Instructions:

  1. Using any color that reminds you of spring, paint or color your paper plate and wait for it to dry.
  2. Fold the paper plate in half.
  3. Cut a piece of construction paper for a handle or use a ribbon (the width should be about 1 inch and the length should be about 10 inches).
  4. Secure each end of the handle to the sides of the folded plate with a staple.

Instructions:

  1. Glue cotton balls all over the paper plate, covering the entire surface except for a small space at the bottom.
  2. Cut a small black oval for the lamb’s face from construction paper.
  3. Glue the black face onto the bottom section where you left space.
  4. Glue two googly eyes onto the black face.
  5. Cut four small rectangles from black paper for legs and glue them at the bottom.
  6. Draw a little pink smile on the face.
  7. Add two small ear shapes from black paper at the top sides!

  • Construction paper in bright Easter colors

Instructions:

  1. Remove the middle part of the paper plate, having the outermost area alone.
  2. Make egg silhouettes from the paper of different colors (around 6-8 eggs).
  3. Prior to gluing, each egg has been adorned with markers, stickers, or glitter.
  4. Position the eggs around the plate ring and attach them with glue so that they slightly overlap. Make a hole in the middle and pull the ribbon for hanging through.
  5. Optional: A bow at the top can be added for a more adorable look!

Instructions:

  1. Make the eye holes in the paper plate (first up to your child’s face to mark where to cut!).

  4. Color a nose and whiskers with the markers.
  5. Stick a cotton ball under the nose to get a fluffy bunny chin.
