What You Need:

Instructions:
Cut a paper plate in half to get wings and then glue the two parts on a whole plate so that it resembles open wings.
Red and pink paper hearts can be cut and folded in half gluing the fold on the plate so that a 3D heart effect is created.
Attach the pipe cleaners as antennae with small paper hearts at the ends. The googly eyes will be glued to the front to finish the love bug’s face.
Tip: The teacher can have the shapes cut out beforehand for the younger children to make the crafting smoother.
2. Heart-Shaped Bird Feeders

What You Need:
- Birdseed
- Unflavored gelatin packets
- Warm water
- Heart cookie cutters
- String or twine
Instructions:
Dissolve the gelatin in warm water first and then add birdseed to it and mix.
Put the mixture into the heart-shaped cookie cutters and through the top, make a hole for hanging.
Leave to dry for a few hours then remove carefully and thread the string through the hole for hanging.
3. Valentine’s Day Heart Wreath

What You Need:
- Paper plates or cardboard ring
- Red, pink, and white construction paper
- Scissors and glue
- Ribbon for hanging
Instructions:
Cut a circle in the middle of the paper plate to make a ring.
Cut out hearts from colored paper in different sizes and colors.
Completely cover the ring with the hearts glued around it.
Put a ribbon loop for hanging on the door or wall.
4. Puffy Paint Valentine Cards

What You Need:
- Cardstock paper
- Shaving cream
- Craft glue
- Food coloring
- Glitter (optional)
Instructions:
Mix shaving cream and glue in equal parts, add food coloring drops and then stir to get puffy paint. The kids will paint the cards from cardstock with this paint, and when it dries it will be raised and squishy giving a fun texture.
5. Love Monster Jars

What You Need:
- Small jars
- Craft paint
- Googly eyes
- Felt sheets or paper hearts
- Craft glue
Instructions:
Paint the jars with Valentine colors. Make monster faces using googly eyes and heart pieces made of felt. Once the paint is dry, the jars will be used for sweets, notes, or little surprises.
6. Tissue Paper Heart Sun Catchers

What You Need:
- Wax paper
- Red, pink, white tissue paper squares
- Glue stick
- Heart templates
Instructions:
Apply glue on wax paper and put tissue paper pieces on it one by one until the entire area is filled.
Let it dry, heart shapes are to be cut out and the shapes are to be taped to the windows so they will catch the sun beautifully.
7. Coffee Filter Valentine Flowers

What You Need:
- Coffee filters
- Washable markers
- Spray bottle with water
- Green pipe cleaners
Instructions:
With markers color the coffee filters, then lightly spray with water so that colors mix, and let them dry a little, then scrunch the filters and wrap them with green pipe cleaners for stems.
8. Foam Heart Puppets

What You Need:
- Foam craft sheets
- Paper bags
- Googly eyes
- Markers
- Glue
Instructions:
Cut out foam hearts and glue them to paper bags so that they look like puppet faces. Add googly eyes and use markers to decorate them for character.
9. Valentine’s Day Friendship Bracelets

What You Need:
- Red, pink, white yarn or embroidery floss
- Beads (optional)
Instructions:
Yarn or floss can be braided to make bracelets; beads can be optionally used for sparkle. These are heart gifts for friends.
10. Heart Collage Canvas

What You Need:
- Mini canvas
- Red, pink, white paper scraps
- Glue
Instructions:
Scraps can be either ripped or cut and then glued onto the canvas to form a great big heart collage.
